CMA Blacksmiths concluded this year’s volleyball action, defending their title as Champions of the Men’s division, blitzing a 3-0 game against their rival CCSE team.

Mayormente & Co. pounded early, showcasing their aerial assaults, while CCSE held tough their defenses. Crucial calls rattled the latter, as CMA secure the early lead, 25-20.

CMA’s Orden suffered a strained right ankle after colliding with teammate, Donato, which turned out to be an added motivation for them. CCSE’s Catbagan tried to regroup his squad, but squabbled late to further get burried, 20-25, despite a promising rally earlier. CMA up 2 to 0.

Set number 3 painted the obvious superiority of the defending champs, whilst CCSE held on, and failed, attempting a taste of glory, as they settled for a 2nd place outing, yet again, bowing to the inevitable titlist. The game ended, 25-19.

Mayormente on his injured teammate: “Medyo nagkaroon kami ng dagdag motivation nung na-injure si Orden.” As to next year’s Cup: “Ayun lang, maraming mawawala sa amin next year… pero kakayanin parin naming mag 3-peat.”

MLS Askies’ Boys squad win 3rd place via forfeiture, as SDI fails to show up.
As for the CCSE, the future seems bright for their young guns seeking to pull out a new redemption journey.
